Tile Roofing in Sarasota: Replacement, Repair and New Installs

Call (866) 606-4049 Get a Free Estimate

Tile is the signature roof of Sarasota, from University Park and Lakewood Ranch to the barrier islands, and for good reason. A properly installed concrete or clay tile roof handles Florida heat, shrugs off salt air and can last for decades. The tile itself is rarely the first thing to fail, though. The underlayment beneath it does the real waterproofing, and in our climate it typically wears out around the 20–25 year mark. Epoch Roofing replaces, repairs and installs tile roofs across Sarasota and Manatee counties, and we tell you plainly whether you need a few tiles reset or a full underlayment replacement. Call (866) 606-4049 for a free tile roof inspection.

I don't own the house so I can't comment on cost. But when the owners had concerns about the roof, and they asked 4 companies to come out to inspect and make bids. I was there for all that, and was able to talk to all the individuals that came. As you would imagine, the comments went from nothing much really needed to be done (he didn't even get out his drone to look at the roof) to "really you need a whole roof replacement". Okan came from Epoch Roofing, walked the roof and said it had a lot of cracked tiles that needed fixing but that it was sound and anything major only needed to be done when there was a real replacement. He had suggestions about how to best do upkeep (power washing) and I am sure that his advise will be followed. Okan was personable, explaining everything he had seen and and at the time was the one that I would have hired if it was my home. Actually the owners must have felt the same way as they chose Epoch to do the repairs. In addition they has Epoch install gutters on the front of the house. While I was not here for the install, they look great. The work was done quickly and as far as I can tell efficiently. There was good give and take and I would certainly recommend this Company to anyone looking for Roof work.

After hurricane Milton I smugly thought I had gotten away with no damages, even though most of my neighbors had not. There were no leaks (to make me aware of problems on the roof) and while my phone was busy with calls from roofers, I was almost certain the callers were calling everyone in the area trying to get whoever answered the phone to replace a roof that was fine.

One day, almost a year after the hurricane, I had a call from a friendly voice, an intelligent person named Okan Bostan who told me he was parked in front of my house and did I know about all the cracks in the tiles on my roof. I told him I was sure the roof was OK , and he asked if I would give him permission to go on the roof and take photos. I agreed thinking once he had seen how sturdy and water tight my roof was, that would make him go away. Then the photos arrived in my email. OMG, what a mess.

But what sealed the deal was Okan told me my insurance would probably cover a new roof, but once a year has passed with a claim from an owner, the insurance company does not have to pay off. And nearly a year had passed by then. Time was running out.

Okan and Miles came to visit me and discuss in person what I needed to know and to do and what they could do to make a new roof happen. Needless to say they soon became my best buddies and they handled the job from "soup to nuts". I am so happy with the new roof, and I have only them to thank! Neighbors I hardly ever spoke to in the past have come to my house with complements on how nice the new roof looks. Thank you Epoch!
